Warga Banjarejo Panekan Kembangkan Kopi Luwak Sekilo Rp 1,5 Juta
Kopi luwak ternyata tidak hanya ada di Lampung. Di Magetan, Ambyah, warga Desa Banjarejo, Kecamatan Panekan, berhasil mengembangkan kopi yang harganya selangit itu. Mantan kepala desa dan ketua Asosiasi Lurah dan Perangkat Desa (ALPD) itu, baru satu tahun ini mengembangkan kopi luwak.Hingga kini,Ambyah memiliki tujuh ekor luwak yang dipelihara di sejumlah kandang di rumahnya.
Baru satu tahun, tapi pasar sudah sampai ke Jogja hingga Surabaya, ujar Ambyah yang belum lama ini mendapat izin usaha dari Dinas Kesehatan tersebut. Dengan modal tujuh ekor luwak, setiap hari Ambyah menyediakan tiga kilogram buah kopi yang sudah masak. Kopi itu kemudian ditaruh di tempat makan di dalam kandang.’Dari tiga kilogram kopi,bisa menghasilkan empat ons kopi bubuk,’paparnya.
Ambyah mengaku,harga kopi luwak di pasaran sangat menjanjikan.Untuk satu kilogram kopi bubuk,dijual Rp 1,5 juta.Sedangkan yang masih berupa biji siap olah, dibanderol Rp1.250.000 per kilogram.’Satu cangkir, biasanya saya jual lima puluh ribu.’
Mahalnya harga kopi luwak memang sebanding dengan rasanya.Ini karena proses produksinya sangat lama. Setiap pagi,Ambyah dan keluarganya memungut kopi yang berserakan di bawah kandang. Kemudian,biji tersebut dibersihkan dan dijemur selama 28 hari.Seteleh melewati masa penjemuran tersebut, kopi yang kering digoreng lalu dihaluskan dengan cara digiling.’Kopi luwak itu dari biji kopi pilihan. Luwak tidak mau makan sembarang biji,’ungkapnya.
Untuk bahan baku biji kopi,Ambyah mendapatkannya dari daerah sekitar.Mulai dari Panekan hingga Ngawi.’Biji kopi yang saya ambil juga selektif.Yang nomor satu dan harus sudah tua,’ungkapnya. Menurut dia,pasar kopi luwak di Indonesia masih terbuka lebar.Dengan produksi yang kontinyu,dia berharap mampu menembus pasar luar negeri.’Kopi luwak sudah terkenal di luar negeri.Harganya pun bagus.
